Official U.L. World Rankings:

An Official U.L. World Ranking will be created from ALL tournaments played from 01/01/06 onwards. The rankings will take into account ALL tournaments that meet the criteria set by the I.U.L.A.

The Official U.L. World Rankings will be kept on this site and will be updated after each tournament. The rankings will be viewable from the Rankings page . The New Official Ranking will run along side the current U.L. rankings on Metaforge and Gravon. Both of which, can be found via the Rankings page.

3 New Online Tournaments:

The I.U.L.A. are organising 3 New Online Tournaments for the 2nd half of 2006. The 3 Tournaments will be Official I.U.L.A. Tournaments which will carry the Official Titles of "European U.L. Champion", "U.S.A. U.L. Champion" and "World U.L. Champion".

The European Championships:

The European Championships are planned for October 2006 and will be open to ALL players from Europe. The aim is to find the top 6 players in Europe. The winner will claim "Gold" and the title of European Champion for 2006. The second place will claim "Silver" and the title of European Runner-up for 2006. The third place player will claim "Bronze". All the top 3 players from the European Championships will then get the chance to play in the "World U.L. Championships" in November 2006. The 4th place player will get the chance to play in the "World U.L. Championships" by the way of a wildcard play off place. (4th place player in European Championships against the 4th place player in the U.S.A. Championships) All matches played in these tournaments will be recorded and the results will go towards an Official U.L. World Ranking.

The U.S.A. Championships:

The European Championships are planned for October 2006 and will be open to ALL players from the U.S.A. The aim is to find the top 6 players in the U.S.A. The winner will claim "Gold" and the title of U.S.A. Champion for 2006. The second place will claim "Silver" and the title of U.S.A. Runner-up for 2006. The third place player will claim "Bronze". All the top 3 players from the U.S.A. Championships will then get the chance to play in the "World U.L. Championships" in November 2006. The 4th place player will get the chance to play in the "World U.L. Championships" in November 2006. The 4th place player will get the chance to play in the "World U.L. Championships" by the way of a wildcard play off place. (4th place player in U.S.A. Championships against the 4th place player in the European Championships) All matches played in these tournaments will be recorded and the results will go towards an Official U.L. World Ranking.

The World U.L. Championships:

The World Championships are planned for November 2006 and will be played between the top U.L. players in the world. Entry is through the European and U.S.A. Championships. Top 3 players from each competition will be automatically entered into the World Championships. There is also a 4th place (wildcard) play off between the 4th placed players in each competition. If there is enough interest from players outside Europe and the U.S.A., then we could organise a "Rest of the World" competition. The winner would then be either gain direct entry into the "World Championship" or at least gain entry into our "wildcard" play off. ALL games played in the World Championships will count towards the Official World U.L. Rankings.

Plans for 2007 :

So far, we have 6 Online U.L. Tournaments planned for 2007.

We also have ideas in the pipeline for an Official Real Life World Championships in 2007!

Other ideas for next year are taking shape, but the main thing between now and December, is the 3 New Tournaments.

Let's publicise these tournaments and lets bring together ALL the great players. (old and new) The 3 most prestigious U.L. tournaments of 2006 will surely see 3 competitions full of quality players and great U.L. play. Lets hope good fun is had by ALL.
